Healthy No-Bake Treats

A healthy version of an old-fashioned treat.

Ingredients

1/2 cup organic butter
1/2 cup raw honey
1/4 cup organic cocoa powder or carob powder
pinch sea salt
1/2 cup organic peanut butter or almond butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups organic rolled oats

No of Servings: 8     Preparation Time: 10 minutes     Cooking Time: 1 minutes

Instructions

Heat honey, butter, cocoa powder and salt in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and boil for 1 minute. Remove pan from stove and quickly stir in peanut or almond butter and vanilla until smooth. Stir in oats. Drop mixture by spoonful onto cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Refrigerate until firm.

Notes

Unsweetened coconut can be substituted for the oats. Chopped walnuts can also be added.
